Prayer for distress and sweet sleep.

Psalm 4
“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? Selah But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him. Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the LORD. There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” LORD, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.”Psalms 4:1-8 NKJV

But I know that you LORD have set apart for yourself him who is godly; You, LORD, will hear when I call to you. I am in Christ your son and he is my righteousness. I enter your throne room with confidence that you will forgive and set free!
God, when I am angry, do not look on my sin. Look away from my anger. Forgive me for holding onto anger, in Jesus name. I forgive those who have hurt me now by Jesus name! ____________
I will Meditate within my heart on my bed, and be still.(Selah)
I Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put my trust in the LORD. I rest in your righteousness, but know that I can offer obedience through the power of your Spirit. Sanctify me and cleanse me from bad habits and evil desires. Deliver me, Lord, from those things that keep me from walking in your Soirit and not in my flesh, in Jesus name.
There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” LORD, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. Let me be a light for you in this dark world, in Jesus name.
