For Kids! 12th day of Christmas Prayer Challenge!

Sing together!

Silent night, holy night

All is calm, all is bright.

Round yon virgin, mother and child

Holy infant so tender and mild,

Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.

On Christmas night, we reflect on our day. What was your favorite part of the day?

The gifts are opened and we are looking forward to the new year now. The gifts we received this year for Christmas will just be a memory soon.

Do you remember what you got for Christmas last year?

Even if you can think of some gifts, you probably can also think of a time when you will grow out of the clothing or the toys. Here is the good news! We never will grow out of the gift of eternal life in Jesus. Jesus may have been born over 2000 years ago, but he is still alive! He is alive today and is just as strong and powerful as the day he created the universe and the day he rose from the dead.

When we ask Jesus to forgive our sins and ask his Holy Spirit to live inside of us, he comes inside of us and gives us eternal life that never gets old or wears out. Some day our world will wear out, but Jesus is building us mansions in heaven that will shine for ever. In heaven there will never be crying or pain or suffering or loneliness. Today, we can celebrate Jesus in our hearts and our future in heaven that will never wear out or get old.

Let’s pray! If you haven’t asked Jesus to forgive your sins and write your name in Jesus’s book of life, let’s ask him to do that. If you have, let’s celebrate God’s eternal life in Jesus.

“Father, in Jesus name we celebrate Jesus tonight! Thank you for his salvation that never wears out or gets old. Thank you for gift of life in Jesus. Father, I repent of my sin and ask that you forgive me, come and live in me by your Holy Spirit and write my name in heaven! Thank you for the special place you are making in heaven for everyone who loves you and trusts in you.”

Spend time thanking God for eternal life together! Merry Christmas!
