I imagine David, dripping with sweat and tears running in streaks through the dust on his face, kneeling in the dirt with is head bowed. Strength comes into him as he grips his fists tightly, clenches his teeth and with a deep roar from his belly cries out, "Bring me the ephod!"

40 Days of Prayer and Fasting – Day 2 Watch!
There is one thing the disciples did not have at Gesthemane that we have. They did not have the indwelling Holy Spirit. They didn't have access to the power of God in their inner beings to strengthen their "inner man" for the arduous time they were walking in. Those who believe in Jesus have access to the store houses of the Spirit of God, since we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:13-14.) We can pray that God will build us up in our inner beings that Jesus will dwell in our hearts through faith. Ephesians 3:16-17 " I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith."
