It's easy to boast in the glory of God. Not so easy to glory in suffering. Suffering is not fun at all! So, if that is the case, then why in the world would we subject ourselves to something like fasting? Well, I consider- and I bet God does too- that things like perseverance, character and hope are worth a lot more to me than fun.

There is one thing the disciples did not have at Gesthemane that we have. They did not have the indwelling Holy Spirit. They didn't have access to the power of God in their inner beings to strengthen their "inner man" for the arduous time they were walking in. Those who believe in Jesus have access to the store houses of the Spirit of God, since we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:13-14.) We can pray that God will build us up in our inner beings that Jesus will dwell in our hearts through faith. Ephesians 3:16-17 " I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith."

Failure as a Parent Can Be Powerful

You may feel like a failure today, but failing is learning. Learning is powerful! So, failure is powerful. Your inadequacy as a mother is all you need to allow God to bring you into new territory and to grow you as a person! ​

Why Do They Call it Good Friday?

Jesus knew that the sufferings he would experience on this earth would pale in comparison to the glory of redeeming the children of God, for the sole purpose of it being the Father's will to show them his kindness for all eternity. God desired to lavish his riches and grace upon us, but it could only come at a great cost. It wouldn't be free. It would cost him everything.

Their Veil Is Thin, Our Veil Is Torn.

It is said that in the fall before Halloween and through the following weeks into December, the veil is thinner between the spirit world and the physical world.
