Wrestling not against flesh and blood
We have authority in Jesus to fight. Yet the enemy will lie to us to tell us we couldn’t or shouldn’t fight him.
This undermines the power of the cross of Christ. We should never see this as just ourselves fighting in our own power – but as walking in the finished work of Christ.
It’s like the opposing team wants you to forfeit the game. He is telling you that you don’t have enough players to go against his army. Yet, all the while you do not see the armies of the Lord around you. He is taunting you, because he is afraid that you will discover your authority over him and use it to overthrow his kingdom and to build in its place the kingdom of the Lord.
